Advice from a Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Through Jhula, I’ve been able to meet some amazing women, leaders and business owners in my community of Northern, New Jersey.
Danice Miranda of Little Milky Way is one of them. She a board certified lactation consultant dedicated to helping mamas and families thrive during their breastfeeding journeys.
I picked her brain a bit to get the inside scoop on some tips and tricks when it comes to breastfeeding. As I’m about to re-enter this world again, it felt fitting to compile these and share with all of you too!
Let me know in the blog comments after reading through if there are any points that resonate the most with you!

A: They can assist the mom when she latches, make sure she is comfortable and has enough to drink and eat throughout the day.
They can support her emotionally when those days of feeling like she can’t do it anymore come. Offer her a couple of hours a day to herself to take a shower and just be alone.
